Compact plasma torch

Localised treatment on 3D parts

A nozzle blows plasma onto the area to treat, a few millimetres from the part. The rest of the part is left untouched.

1 to 3

Nozzles depending on configuration

700 – 1100 W

Power

30 – 60 L/min

Gas flow, air, nitrogen, mixtures

RS485, TCP-IP

Driven from your PLC

Configuration

One nozzle, benchtop format. For R&D and small runs, when the point is still to qualify a process rather than to produce it.

Nozzle geometry

Treats a band as it passes. The default geometry, when the area is reachable on a vertical approach.

To activate a precise zone on a 3D part

Adhesive that will not hold

The bead peels at ageing or in a peel test. The torch activates the bonding strip just before dispensing.

Paint that flakes off

Release agent stops the paint gripping the moulded part. Plasma removes it and makes the surface receptive.

Printing that smears

Ink beads up instead of spreading. One pass of the torch over the area is enough.

Plasma, right on the line

The torch creates plasma in open air and blows it onto the part. No vacuum chamber, no pumping, no solvent: it mounts on your line, on a robot or a fixed station.

Choose the nozzle by how the zone is reached. Straight for a strip, rotary for a wider track, 45° for grooves and sides.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know whether this equipment suits my part?

Send us the part. We treat it in our Québec City laboratory. Within 48 hours you get the surface energy before and after, the settings used, and a frank opinion if plasma is not the right answer.

Has my material already been treated?

Materials qualified in the laboratory: [x]. Yours is not listed? That is the most common case. Send us three samples: a measured answer within 48 hours.

Can it be rented before buying?

Yes. You test the equipment on site, with your parts and your operators, before investing. Terms: [x].

What documents do you provide for a customer audit?

The process file: plasma settings, measurement methods, results on your parts and procedures. For regulated markets, it follows your sector's requirements.

And if no configuration fits?

We then design a custom reactor, matched to your material and your throughput. See the custom reactors →
