Wide-width plasma curtain: touchscreen generator and treatment head
Generator and treatment head

Plasma curtain

Wide-width treatment

A continuous plasma curtain treats the full width in a single pass. For panels, sheets and moving webs.

60 → 500 mm

Seven treatment widths

1 – 6 kW

Power depending on width

60 – 500 L/min

Gas flow, nitrogen, doped nitrogen

Modbus TCP/IP, RTU

Driven from your PLC

Generator

The generator type follows from the width retained and the power it imposes. Worth checking early: it drives your electrical connection.

Control

Standalone control via an integrated touchscreen. The station runs on its own, with no PLC upstream.

To treat a full width, without scanning

A panel before bonding

The whole surface must be activated evenly. Scanning leaves zones treated twice.

A continuous web

Treatment keeps pace with line speed. The curtain is sized on the web width.

Sheets at high throughput

Hundreds of parts an hour, all treated the same. The head is fixed: nothing varies from part to part.

Every point gets the same treatment

The discharge covers the full width of the head. The part passes underneath: no overlap, no missed zone.

You choose the width to match your parts, from seven values between 60 and 500 mm. It sets the power, and so the generator: single-phase or three-phase.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know whether this equipment suits my part?

Send us the part. We treat it in our Québec City laboratory. Within 48 hours you get the surface energy before and after, the settings used, and a frank opinion if plasma is not the right answer.

Has my material already been treated?

Materials qualified in the laboratory: [x]. Yours is not listed? That is the most common case. Send us three samples: a measured answer within 48 hours.

Can it be rented before buying?

Yes. You test the equipment on site, with your parts and your operators, before investing. Terms: [x].

What documents do you provide for a customer audit?

The process file: plasma settings, measurement methods, results on your parts and procedures. For regulated markets, it follows your sector's requirements.

And if no configuration fits?

We then design a custom reactor, matched to your material and your throughput. See the custom reactors →

Large-format surface plasma source Whole surface

Surface source

A discharge spread across the whole electrode, treating flat parts and flexible films uniformly. No sweeping, so no over-treated band.

Compact plasma torch Precise area

Compact torch

A nozzle that blows plasma straight onto the area to be treated, a few millimetres from the part. The most common way to activate a precise area.

Treated sample held in the hand, surface energy check in the laboratory The complement

Test inks

A treatment you do not measure is not a process. The calibrated ink tells you in seconds whether the surface has passed the target threshold.

Thin-film deposition station Film deposition

Deposition station

When activating is no longer enough: a 1 to 300 nm functional film deposited by atmospheric plasma, anti-corrosion or anti-scratch depending on the precursor.

Turnkey treatment cell Automated station

Turnkey cell

An enclosed cell with a Cartesian robot, plasma source and safety interlocks. You program a path, the station replays it identically.

Precision torch

Cold plasma with a millimetre footprint, for small-area samples and sensitive substrates. It also accepts a precursor.
